After 3 years from the last Global Flexo Innovation Awards, Z DUE renews its participation by presenting over 30 works printed with Flexcel NX plate and BlueEdge e Vortex technologies, this time winning a special award for the conversion from offset-gravure to flexo.
These are the words of the jury, composed of Chris Horton, Stefano d’Andrea, Laurel Brunner, Jason Goode, Dr. Kai Lankinen, Sebastian Longo, Ken McGuire, Chip Tonkin: Z Due impressed the judges with an excellent collection of work converted from offset and gravure to flexo, enhanced using the company’s own BlueEdge screening technology. The judges noted the close collaboration between Z Due and its printer customers, and complimented the company on expanding the applications for BlueEdge beyond the original corrugated sector into other substrates.
This award, we believe, is very important not only as another confirmation of the effectiveness of the Z DUE clichés for conversion, but as a benefit for all the flexo print of today and tomorrow. Just a few years ago it wasn’t possible thought to achieve similar goals in flexo, increasingly threatened by digital print and confined within certain qualitative limits exceeded only by offset and gravure.
Today the world is impressed, just like the GFIA judges, by how flexo print has evolved: 36 works have been submitted to the competition and it can be said that all 36 have won this award – this is truly a HUGE achievement.
For this reason we want to thank the judges and especially ALL our partners who made this award possible.
